Guilt
I feel guilty.
Because I’m under time contraints, I made one of the websites that I’ve been tasked to do with tables. Yes, I feel guilty because I used tables, weird as that sounds. Tables are quick and dirty and easy to use and layout, and pretty much every browser treats them the same. Or at least close enough as to not matter.
I really enjoy using CSS and standards and being proper and all that when building my webpages. I just didn’t have time to figure out why IE was being snooty and not accepting my CSS. So after several frustrations, I gave up and used tables.
I gave up, ’cause I couldn’t figure it out and I was out of time. Bah.
Because Internet Exploder is eeeeeeeevil!
I rant about it here:

(shameless plug. I know.
)
I’m on the verge myself… My homepage is a CSS nightmare… GRRR!
I just got a screenshot sent of my site on IE/win. I am so going to block that monstrosity from my CSS. It looks even worse than on the mac version!!

Yep, it’s ridiculous that I’m finding even within the IE circle the standards are not the same. Mac and Win IE handle CSS differently it seems… Bastids!!!
Damn Sarah… I’ll forgive you anything for being able to draw like that.
*Goes and breaks all his pencils…*

Shamefully, I still use tables on my main site.
In my defense I have managed to convince enough of the people that go there that Firefox is the way to go that my stats show an increase from 5% to 21% Firefox users. IE should be thrown into a fiery pit.
